Maria Anna Mahler, Gustav Mahlers eldest daughter, dies of scarlet fever and diptheria at 4 years and 7 months of age in Maiernigg, Austria, five days after her father, Gustav Mahler's 47th birthday. She is buried at Grinzing Cemetery, Vienna.
